In 2015, we pioneered a “moneyball for biotech” approach, pooling projects and promising early-stage research from academia together under one financial umbrella to reduce risk and unleash innovation. This model allows science and small teams of experts to lead the way. We build bridges to groundbreaking advancements in rare disease, and develop life-changing medicines for patients with unmet needs as fast as humanly possible.

Together we define white space, push boundaries, and empower people to solve problems. If you're someone who defies convention, join us and work alongside some of the most respected minds in the industry. Together, we'll ask "why not?" and help reengineer the future of biopharma. At BridgeBio, we value curiosity and experimentation—including the ethical & thoughtful use of AI to improve clarity, speed, and quality of work.

What You’ll Do

You will report to the Senior Director, Market Access, EU Center and work closely with Medical Affairs, HEOR, Regulatory, Commercial and our global Market Access team to secure and sustain patient access to BridgeBio’s medicines across the DACH region. Your remit is to own the German AMNOG process end to end – from the value dossier under § 35a SGB V through the reimbursement price negotiation with the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Funds (GKV-Spitzenverband) under § 130b SGB V – and regional market access, which turns that outcome into real-world access through direct engagement with sickness funds, the Medical Service, regional physicians’ associations, hospitals and treating centres. You will also lead reimbursement submissions in Austria and Switzerland. This role requires effective collaboration with cross-functional colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality execution and impact. The ideal candidate combines deep AMNOG and HTA expertise with strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

Lead AMNOG value dossiers end to end: plan, resource, quality-assure and submit complete dossiers under § 35a SGB V to the Federal Joint Committee (G-BA), including derivation of the appropriate comparator therapy (zVT), early identification of evidence gaps and defensible argumentation on indirect comparisons, surrogate and subgroup analyses

Own G-BA and IQWiG interactions: prepare scientific advice requests under § 8 AM-NutzenV, run written commenting procedures and oral hearings, and manage all procedural communication and timelines

Prepare and support price negotiations: develop pricing strategy, negotiation mandate, scenarios and European reference price analyses for the negotiation with the GKV-Spitzenverband under § 130b SGB V, and plan realistically for arbitration board risk

Drive regional payer engagement: engage sickness funds at federal and regional level, the Medical Service (MD) and regional physicians’ associations (KVen) on reimbursement, cost-efficiency reviews and prior-authorisation practice, and translate those insights into regional access concepts

Secure hospital and clinic reimbursement: advise treating centres on NUB applications, DRG and additional-payment (ZE) mapping, budget and price negotiations, drug committees and formulary listing, including outpatient care via ASV under § 116b SGB V

Resolve access barriers in the field: handle individual reimbursement requests, denials and claw-backs together with Medical Affairs and the field teams, and turn recurring issues into argumentation aids and training material

Extend access beyond Germany: lead reimbursement submissions in Austria (EKO) and Switzerland (FOPH Specialities List), and bring market access requirements into study design, evidence planning and launch planning across the cross-functional team

Where You’ll Work

This is a Germany-based remote role

Approximately 20% travel is anticipated – for G-BA and GKV-Spitzenverband meetings in Berlin, regional payer and hospital meetings across Germany, selected meetings in Austria and Switzerland, and as-needed visits to our International HQ in Zug

Who You Are

Degree in health economics, pharmacy, medicine, life sciences or a comparable field

5–8 years of experience in market access or HTA – in the pharmaceutical industry, a consultancy or a specialised HTA service provider

Demonstrated experience preparing AMNOG value dossiers under § 35a SGB V, ideally as project lead on at least one complete procedure, plus hands-on involvement in a reimbursement price negotiation under § 130b SGB V

Solid command of G-BA and IQWiG methodology, procedural rules and statutory timelines, with the ability to appraise clinical evidence critically and translate it into payer-ready argumentation

Experience engaging payers and/or hospitals directly on reimbursement matters, and the confidence to lead those conversations yourself; knowledge of German hospital financing (NUB, DRG, additional payments) and of reimbursement in Austria and Switzerland is a strong plus

Strong written argumentation and the ability to work autonomously in an environment where some processes are still being built; experience with orphan drugs or a limited evidence base is an advantage

Business-fluent German and English

Willingness to travel approximately 20% of working time
